3-Gun is a fast-paced, exciting, practical shooting sport that allows shooters to engage various target arrays with their pistol, rifle, and shotgun.
- Each match is usually comprised of 4 to 5 “stages.”
- Each stage is a timed event where the competitor will be required to engage targets with each firearm.
Scoring for 3-Gun is “Time Plus,” which means that the competitor’s score for each stage will be their stage time plus any time penalties incurred by missing targets. All stage times are added together and that number is the competitor’s score for the match. Pretty simple!
“Divisions” separate competitors based on the type of firearms and equipment they are using. This ensures competitors compete directly with others who have the same equipment capabilities.
